The following is a statement from Rev. Edward A. Malloy, C.S.C., president emeritus of the University of Notre Dame, on the death last week of former Saint Mary’s College President William Hickey:
“Bill Hickey was a Notre Dame graduate, a highly successful faculty member at Saint Mary’s College and an outstanding administrator. During our respective years as president, we had a close and mutually supportive relationship. Most of all, though, Bill was a really good person who left a wonderful legacy.”
