Kevin M. Rooney, director of undergraduate admissions at the University of Notre Dame since 1984, will leave that position July 1, 1997, to become assistant dean of the First Year of Studies, according to Nathan O. Hatch, the University’s provost.“The First Year of Studies will benefit greatly from Kevin’s many talents, his long experience at Notre Dame, and his in-depth knowledge of our students,” Hatch said in announcing the appointment.p.
