The University of Notre Dame Marching Band began its 165th season with a march-out through the Notre Dame Campus on August 19. Beginning at the Ricci Band Rehearsal Hall, the procession passed several Notre Dame landmarks including the Hesburgh Library, Clarke Memorial Fountain and Grace hall and concluded at Stepan Fields. A traditional event ringing in the new school year, the march-out featured more than 500 students, among them veteran band members and students auditioning for membership in the 2010 Band of the Fighting Irish.
