The University of Notre Dame will celebrate teaching excellence and excellent teachers Tuesday (Dec. 3) with a reception in honor of Dennis Jacobs, professor of chemistry and the 2002 U.S. Professor of the Year for research and doctoral institutions.p. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Eck Notre Dame Visitors? Center with a presentation by Jacobs titled ?The Education of a Teacher.? A reception will follow.p.
