Cardinal Theodore Edgar McCarrick, archbishop emeritus of Washington D.C., and Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., Notre Dame’s president, visit at the annual reception hosted by Notre Dame at the November meeting of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Cardinal McCarrick gave the Commencement Address and was awarded an honorary degree at Notre Dame’s 2008 University Commencement Ceremony.
