Dr. Ivan Vargas, a Psychology Professor at the University of Notre Dame, says that the scientific research suggests that permanent central time would have several health benefits. "Standard time is what's most closely aligned with our internal circadian rhythm, so our internal clock that kind of regulates a lot of different systems in our brain, in our body." Dr. Vargas said.
