John Sejdinaj
John Sejdinaj, vice president for finance at the University of Notre Dame, has recently been appointed to lead the boards for two organizations. Sejdinaj will serve as president of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Association and chairman of the board of directors of the Tuition Plan Consortium.
The Fischoff National Chamber Music Association sponsors the largest annual chamber music competition in the country, and partners with competition alumni to bring free, innovative arts-in-education programs directly to children. Established in South Bend in 1973, the Fischoff competition is one of the most prestigious classical music prizes attainable today. The competition takes place at the University of Notre Dame in the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center and features musicians from around the world. Sejdinaj has served on the association’s board of directors since 2007.
The Tuition Plan Consortium is a group of 280 U.S. private colleges and universities that own and operate the Private College 529 Plan. The Private College 529 Plan is the only tax-advantaged 529 plan not operated by a state. It is a prepaid tuition plan that allows families to save on the cost of future tuition by paying today’s prices for tomorrow’s education. Sejdinaj has served as a board member for the plan since June 2013.
Sejdinaj earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1981 and a master of business administration degree from DePaul University in 1984. His work at Notre Dame includes oversight of the offices of Treasury Services, Budget and Financial Planning, Procurement Services, Northeast Neighborhood Redevelopment and the Controller’s group.
