Notre Dame astronomer helps detect dark matter object in the Milky Way

David Bennett, an astronomer from the University of Notre Dame, is a member of an international team of researchers that has directly observed an object of “dark matter”—part of the hidden material that makes up most of the total mass of the universe—for the first time.
