The University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business has named Robin D. Kistler as the director of non-degree programs at the Stayer Center for Executive Education as of Friday (April 1). Kistler will be responsible for the administration, strategy and promotion of the Stayer Center’s open enrollment, online and custom certificate offerings.

“I am very pleased that Robin will be leading our non-degree efforts at Notre Dame,” said Paul Slaggert, director of the Stayer Center. “Her experience and background will allow her to immediately contribute to the continued growth in our custom programming, as well as to the impact our programs have on individuals and organizations.”

Kistler previously served as director of executive education at Louisiana State University’s E. J. Ourso College of Business from 2008 to present, leading non-degree professional development training in business acumen and leadership development. She also was the interim director of LSU’s Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute from 2014 to present, overseeing programs such as the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities, the Entrepreneur Fellows Program, and the LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses alumni recognition program.

Accredited in Public Relations (APR) by the Universal Accreditation Board since 2005, Kistler has extensive experience in marketing and communications, serving as the director of marketing and as a marketing strategist at LSU’s Office of Public Affairs from 2000 to 2008. She also belongs to a number of professional and academic boards, including the Conference on Management and Executive Development, which she co-chaired in 2013.

Kistler earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and advertising, and a master’s degree in communications management and organizational development from LSU.

Founded in 1980, the Stayer Center for Executive Education provides leaders in the executive and management levels with the opportunity to develop and strengthen their leadership abilities and business acumen and skills. The Stayer Center offers non-degree certificate programs as well as degree programs in South Bend and Chicago, which include the Notre Dame Executive MBA, the Master of Science in Business Analytics and the Master of Finance.

In keeping with the Notre Dame mission, the program emphasizes values-centered leadership in addition to academic rigor. More than 2,000 company presidents, executives and directors, as well as every Executive MBA student, have participated in the Stayer Center’s signature Executive Integral Leadership program, which incorporates spiritual and ethical strengths into leadership development.
