George Marsden, Francis A. McAnaney Professor of History at the University of Notre Dame, received an honorary degree May 29 at the 74th Commencement exercises of Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, Pa.p. A member of the Notre Dame faculty since 1992, Marsden studies American religion and culture with a focus on the history of Protestantism. He is the author of eight books, including the recently published ?Jonathan Edwards: A Life? (Yale University Press).p.
