Political scientist named Carnegie Scholar

Kathleen Collins, assistant professor of political science at the University of Notre Dame, is among 13 scholars from American universities and research institutions to be named a 2003 Carnegie Scholar by the Carnegie Corporation of New York.p. Each scholar chosen will receive up to $100,000 over the next two years to pursue research that expands the intellectual margins of the corporation’s program areas, which include education reform, widening global income gaps, economic growth and development, legal reform in Russia, U.S. foreign policy, and the implications of Islamic politics and identity.p.
