Donations: Notre Dame launches Katrina Collection effort

Notre Dame students, faculty, staff and alumni, in conjunction with the Universitys administration, are organizing numerous initiatives to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The centerpiece of the Universitys efforts will be theKatrina Stadium Collectionat the first home football game Sept. 17.

For those who would like to make monetary contributions in advance, or who will not be in attendance Sept. 17, checks can be made to:

All funds will be distributed as follows: 50 percent to Catholic Charities USA, 25 percent to Congregation of Holy Cross ministries inLouisiana, and 25 percent toAlliancefor Catholic Education (ACE) schools in affected areas.
