Director of Faith-Based Initiatives Office to speak

Jim Towey, director of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, will be the keynote speaker Jan. 27 (Monday) at a symposium inaugurating the Center for the Study of Latino Religion in the Institute for Latino Studies at the University of Notre Dame.p. Titled “The Role of Faith in the Public Square: Stories of Mother Teresa and President Bush,” Towey’s talk will begin at 5 p.m. in the McKenna Hall auditorium. It is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception.p.
