Michael Zuckert, Nancy Reeves Dreux Professor of Political Science, delivered the most recent lecture in the University of Notre Dames Saturday Scholar Series,Completing the Constitution: The 14 th Amendment,on October 21.His presentation addressed James Madisons concerns that the Constitution somehow lacked features essential to its success, and how the idea ofcompleting the Constitutionprovides the key to understanding the 14 th Amendment – an important but controversial addition.

Sponsored by theCollegeofArtsand Letters, the Saturday Scholar Series presentations begin three and one-half hours before kickoff of each home football game and are held in the Annenberg Auditorium of theSniteMuseum.

Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies; John Paul Lederach, professor of international peacebuilding; and A.
