Special recognition ceremonies for Latino, Asian and Pacific Islander, Native American and African-American members of the University of Notre Dames graduating class will be held Friday to Sunday (May 13 to 15) on campus.
The Latino Recognition Ceremony will take place at7 p.m.Friday in Washington Hall.Louis M. Nanni, Notre Dames vice president for University Relations, will address 71 graduating Latino seniors and their families and friends.
The Asian and Pacific Islander Recognition Ceremony will be held at1 p.m.Saturday in the Annenberg Auditorium of the Snite Museum of Art.Ireneo Bong Miquiabas, director of Notre Dames international student services and activities, will speak to the assembly, which will include 50 graduating seniors.
The Native American Recognition Ceremony/Dinner, at which four students will be honored, will take place at7 p.m.Saturday in Room 200 of theMainBuilding.
The African-American Recognition Ceremony will be held at8:45 a.m.Sunday in Washington Hall.Dr. Benjamin Carter, renowned neurosurgeon and 2005 honorary degree recipient, will address the 47 African-American seniors and their families and friends.
The special recognition ceremonies have been organized by the Universitys Multicultural Student Programs and Services.
