Student magazines honored by Indiana Collegiate Press Association

The University of Notre Dame’s two student-produced magazines, Scholastic and The Juggler, have received top honors from the Indiana Collegiate Press Association for the third consecutive year.p. Scholastic, a biweekly publication founded in 1867, was named 2003 Newsmagazine of the Year. It also won first-place awards for best single issue and best overall design and also was recognized for stories on the ethanol plant in South Bend, the rights of college athletes, the allocation of student activity fees, and a student’s appearance on the television show “Elimidate.” Scholastic’s editor-in-chief was Sarah Childress of Flint, Mich.p.
