Rev. Eugene Gorski, C.S.C., 82, died Saturday, Jan. 3, at Holy Cross House. Services have taken place.

From 1972-1980, Father Gorski taught at the University as an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Theology; and for two years, he was Resident Director of Notre Dame’s Program in Angers, France. He returned to Notre Dame where he taught in the Department of Theology until 1995. In addition to his full-time academic work, Father Gorski served, for a number of years, as rector of two Notre Dame student residence halls, Howard and St. Edward’s. In 1980, he was awarded the John “Pop” Farley Award for distinguished service as rector.
