A conference entitled “Perspectives on the Question of Extraterrestrial Intelligent Life” will be held at the University of Notre Dame’s McKenna Hall (Center for Continuing Education) July 1 (Thurs.) The conference, which is free and open to the public, is being sponsored by Notre Dame’s graduate program in history and philosophy of science, the program of liberal studies, and the departments of theology and psychology. Among the issues it will address are what UFO abductees suggest abouthuman nature, the implications of extraterrestrial intelligent life for Christian theology. and the place of the extraterrestrial life debate in the history of astronomy.p.
