Priyank Gandhi’s current research interests include financial intermediaries, credit risk, computational finance, liquidity and its effects on asset prices, and contagion risk. His most recent research explores the impact of implicit government guarantees to large U.S. financial institutions on their equity returns. His research has been presented in seminars at University of Chicago, NYU, Harvard, Emory University, Ohio State University, University of Rochester, and other leading schools. Priyank’s research has appeared in leading academic journals including the Journal of Financial Economics. His work has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Germany’s leading newspaper, Handelsblatt. From 2001 to 2004, Priyank was a manager at the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) in India. He has also been a consultant to investment banks and real estate firms.
